Road captain Allen will lead this chapter overnighter to the Cowboy Dinner Tree and an overnight stay in LaPine, OR.
Saturday August 13th is our chapter overnighter led by Allen and Randy to the Cowboy Dinner Tree; an authentic rustic cowboy restaurant located in Silver Lake, OR. Meals are cooked over fire the way they were when the ranchers from Paisley, Summer Lake and Silver Lake pushed their cattle through Sycan trail enroute to the lush meadows of the Sycan Marsh. Electricity is only used for lights.
The host hotel is the Best Western Newberry Station in LaPine. There is a block of rooms reserved. The phone number is (541) 536-5130. Mention you are with Rose City HOG for the group rate. The restaurant is 54 miles from the hotel and 54 miles back. Make sure you fill your tank after checking in.
Dinner is $54 per person and includes the tip. Dinner consists of a 26-30 ounce steak or a whole roasted chicken. Baked potato, soup, salad, rolls and drinks are included.
The Cowboy Dinner Tree is a cash only restaurant. Allen will collect payment prior to the ride. Click here to go to the Cowboy Dinner Tree web site.
Bring a cooler for leftovers unless you are up to the challenge!
